SUMMARY:

This study proposes an analysis of female protagonism in Brazilian military dictatorship in the history curriculum of Integrated High School courses at the Federal Institute Farroupilha – Jaguari Campus. In particular, it aims at analyzing the visibility provided to women in history classes on the topic of Brazilian military dictatorship in Integrated High School courses in Administration, Agriculture and Renewable Energy Systems, at the Federal Institute Farroupilha – Campus Jaguari. In order to carry out the proposed analysis, this work has the following specific objectives: identifying which female characters are highlighted in the history curriculum of these courses; comparing the importance given to female participation in relation to men; ask whether gender interfered in the way they experienced the military dictatorship; carrying out a survey of personalities who stood out during the period and who were not included in the curriculum; and create an Instagram page that provides visibility to women from the period studied. This will be a qualitative research, based on Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) method. The aim is to critically analyze the discourse present in some institutional documents, such as: the pedagogical projects of the previously mentioned courses; the syllabi of these courses with an emphasis on the subject of history; and in the textbooks used by students in this subject. This set of texts will make up the corpus of this research. Thus, the study will be focused on analyzing the subject position(s) attributed to women in approaches to Brazil's military dictatorship. The subjects of this research are defined in the discursive practices present in the discursive excerpts generated from the documents selected for the study. Finally, we understand that memory and history go together, we need to remember the military dictatorship to avoid giving space to the dissemination of denialist or romanticized discourses about the period. The emphasis on gender intends for women to receive the historical visibility they have been denied. Understanding that these are indispensable subjects for an omnilateral training of subjects.
